CAPITAL ONE SCOOPS AWARD AT THE MONEY MARKETING AWARDS
Capital One walked away with the award for 'Best Direct Mail Pack' at last night's Money Marketing Financial Services Awards.
Capital One also received a nomination in the 'Consumer Campaign of the Year' category.
The Best Direct Mail Award recognises the best direct mail pack directed at IFAs or consumers. The judges were impressed by the creativity and originality of Capital One's 'ice tray' mailing that was designed by WWAV Rapp Collins. The aim of the direct mail pack was to encourage consumers to transfer their balances from their existing credit card provider to Capital One and ensure Capital One is the preferred credit card in consumers' wallets. As part of the creative recipients were sent an ice tray. The accompanying literature suggested that by taking out a Capital One credit card and transferring their balances consumers, could literally 'freeze' the use of their other credit cards.
The Money Marketing Financial Services Awards celebrate the best advertising and marketing communications in the financial services industry. The winners were chosen by a judging panel made up of leading figures from the financial services marketing industry.
Justin Basini, Head of Brand Marketing at Capital One said: "It's especially pleasing to win this award. We strive to offer great value products to our customers and creative direct mail enables us to effectively communicate these offers and stand out amongst the competition. We are very proud that our creativity has been recognised by the industry."
