Our Focus on the Environment

Our head office, based in Trent House in Nottingham, is the heart of our U.K. business operation and houses our core business units. The Nottingham office is supported by a small London office.

Trent House (previously a disused print works) has recently been refurbished. Care was taken to consider environmental issues throughout the design and refurbishment process and in the on-going day to day management of the building. For example, during the refurbishment:

  • 200 tonnes of material was recycled
  • The amount of metal recycled totalled 12 tonnes
  • Improved new energy efficient bulbs and daylight sensitive controls have been installed to supplement the level of natural daylight

Active building controls also manage our heat and power. Electricity is supplied from guaranteed green sources, with heating being supplied via steam produced by the neighbouring Nottingham Eastcroft waste facility. These controls help to reduce our use of natural resources and therefore our environmental impact.

The London Office is a member 'Green 500', the Mayor's carbon reduction scheme and recently won a platinum award, along with fellow tenants within the building. The award was for partnership between a property owner and occupiers, who have worked together to collectively reduce the carbon emission of a property. A plan is being developed to reduce our carbon emissions further.
