We need you to send us documents from the list below to help us check your identity and address. We can't continue to process your application until we receive these.

- Photocopy of current UK passport photo page
- Photocopy of current UK DVLA photocard driving licence
- Original old style paper driving licence
- National Insurance document from a government department. We cannot accept a national insurance card.
- A letter or documentation from HMRC, including child benefit, tax credit, NI contributions, tax calculation, self assessment, PAYE coding letter. We cannot accept your P60 or P45.
- Local Council tenancy agreement
- Letter of notification from a Central Government Benefits Agency or Pension Service
- Student Grant or Loan letter from your Local Education Authority or Student Loans Company
- Evidence of entitlement to housing or council tax benefits

- Bank, building society or Post Office current account statement or savings account statement
- Bank or building society passbooks
- Credit, store card or loan statement (not store loyalty cards)
- Utility bill - electricity/gas/water/landline telephone/Cable TV. We cannot accept mobile telephone bills.
- Letter from the County Court
- Mortgage statement
- Current valid insurance policy - home/motor/life (certificate or schedule)
- Current council tax bill/demand letter
Important information about your documents
All documents must be original, except your UK passport or UK photocard driving licence. We accept copies of these two documents only.
Before you post your documents please check that:
- Your documents show your first and surnames, and either your address or date of birth as entered on your application.
- You have included your application reference number or a print out of the email we sent you.
